Primero, lo normal era recibir mensajes, sobre todo en inglés, con un montón de enlaces, que rápidamente eran cazados por Akismet.

Después, empezaron a llegar mensajes, también sobre todo en inglés, con un texto que podría colar como comentario en cualquier blog. Eran comentarios genéricos del tipo “qué bien escribes”, “estoy de acuerdo contigo, pero…” y cosas así.

Al ser en inglés, tampoco había problema para filtrarlos automáticamente.

Sin embargo, ahora me asalta un nuevo tipo de spam que me cuesta mucho controlar. Se trata de robots que visitan mi blog, entran en un post al azar, miran los comentarios existentes y copian uno al azar, cambiando el nick y la URL.

De este modo, si los voy marcando todos como spam y los machaco, Akismet empezará a pensar que todo es spam, porque el contenido textual de los mensajes es legítimo.

En fin, que me veo dentro de poco restringiendo los comentarios del blog y teniendo que aprobarlos todos manualmente, algo que no me gusta porque le quita inmediatez a la comunicación

Seguramente sólo pica 1 de cada 1.000, puede que incluso piquen menos, pero habrá gente capaz de creerse que esto es verdad:

FedEx courier service company mailing you as per your parcel that was brought to this company to be delivered to you by  lottery groups, along the delivery process that brought a misunderstanding between you and the lottery claim agent and in regards of their request as per their insurance certificate cost and tax fee which happened to be the course of your parcel being pending for the past months/one year.

• Programas de mensajería instantánea como el Messenger
• SMS, MMS
• Mensajes Bluetooth cuando entras en el radio de acción de un dispositivo preparado para spamear masivamente
• Y, en definitiva, todo lo que sea digital.

Ahora bien, ¿por qué lo llamamos spam y no publicidad o cabronada?
